Description:

Are you considering a miniature pig as a pet?

Miniature pigs can and do make wonderful pets. They are intelligent, clean, communicative and affectionate. Just as different breeds of dogs are not suitable for all owners or environments - it is important to know what it means to have a pig as a pet and to determine if it is the right pet for you.

I would rather not make a sale ever - than to have one of our precious babies placed with an unprepared owner. That being said, hopefully you are doing research - there is a plethora of information on the web... both positive and negative. Be sure to visit and bookmark www.minipiginfo.com - it is the "go to" site for all of your questions and concerns.

A lot of negative information comes from people who have been "scammed" into buying a young piglet and told it was a "miniature" when in fact if grew upwards of 100 lbs. (It is important to note here that while our bloodlines do not run this size, technically a "mini pig" is anything under 250 pounds) Scams happen. It is important that you know where your piglet comes from - I believe it is imperative to see at least the parents and if possible, the previous generation. This is the only true way you will get and "idea" of "approximately" how big your miniature pig will be as an adult.

Our adults are on site here at Susan's Garden and are not just "breeders" but pets! We are a small operation and we welcome you to come see how we live - how our animals live and what we are all about.
